Back-to-School Fair

website picture after fair Each year, the Children's Advocacy Center partners with local corporations and volunteers to host the annual Back-to-School Fair. The 2016 Fair was a fun-filled evening complete with games, music, face-painting, and refreshments in a family-friendly atmosphere. The event equips children who are current clients of the Children's Advocacy Center or Child Protective Services for the new school year by providing them with backpacks, shoes, haircuts, and school supplies.

This year, in order to ensure our children get everything they need and to make the process convenient for our busy supporters, we moved to a system where we purchased EPI supply packs customized by grade-level for each child. This is the same process used by many PTAs in the area and ensures the children we serve start their school year supplied like their peers.

Buying school supplies can be difficult for families with children that have experienced abuse or neglect and who are struggling to make ends meet. Your partnership makes it possible for these children start their school year geared for success.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to tour 2016 Back-To-School Fair! Check out some pictures from the event.
